17 was the age she was married off at. 19 was her death age... or so she had thought. It would become apparent that she was no longer apart of the human world, 1717 was a year of change for her. It had called on her like the night was in need of the moon. Her mind raced. This year she would be 310 years of age.

It wasn't until her husband was 36 and she was 26 and vampire when they had moved to America. There in 1724 a large Estate made with stones and other items had walls placed up around the building. It still stands here maginificently.

Hidden for most of her vampire life it wasn’t until many years ago she was heard of. The time she hid she fed off of what her workers brought. But they were no longer humans like her. The humans were dismissed and vampires were hired. When a virus wiped out many vampires recently she was one of them. But some how she was reborn or resurrected, however you want to say it. She was brought back in the basement. The place in which she was wiped out with the rest.
Now she is restless and ready for something to do. Sitting in the large library she stared at photos and many albums she had brought out. Thankfully she knew her house wasn’t going to fall on her. The stone home was the last thing of old near the city. And it was hers… all hers.

After her husband passed on at 45 he didn’t care what she was. Even if he was still human and she wasn’t. That was the only human man who lived there until she was about 1910 when she started to let humans back in to work. They were somewhat under her protection. But the silent war that started a year ago made her angry. And she became what others call a Vigilante. Doing what she thought was right against what she thought was wrong. There were only about 44 humans died in that mansion from 1910 to 2008.

And now her memories are coming back. The woman that was born in 1698 now lives in 2008 as old blood. And what they once called old money. Ava isn't a stupid woman. Though some Vampire's and humans alike are against familiars. Her's aren't used as pets.

Blade stepped into the house silently, his jacket hung to him closely as he stopped into a library. In a small section a woman sat looking at images. “I figured you would have been dead.” His hands didn’t budge he didn’t show anything. The woman who sat before him he encountered once or twice. She wasn’t like the other vampire types, but she was vampire. Living like them wasn’t fully her style but it wasn’t horrible. Employing humans and vampires together wasn’t his idea. But they weren’t pets though they were familiars.

“Death as it seems to be in my case temporary.” Sighing as Ava stood up she wore her black leather suit with her corset on top. “And for some reason I never seem to stay dead.” Blade was someone she faced before she died. But it was just a meeting there was no real way for either to know how mean and cruel they could be. But from what she heard he had his own way in finding things out. “Now may I ask why you came here?” A man like him need reasons and always had one.

"There was a light in this window. I heard it was your favorite spot. And I know the vampires were supposed to be wiped out." And in this case that didn't sound like that was the issue. Because here was a woman standing infront of him and fully alive. Well not completely.

Walking over to Blade, Ava and him had a past she didn't think about until now. They have met each other on a couple of occasions but neither one really admitted it, and the latest visit was something they wouldn't share with anyone. "Well you would know that is my favorite spot. But I think we can skip that." Ava found her spot again and sat down. " I feel like I'm growing old." All she did was sit back and look at her album.

Blade watched the steady movements of the woman. Secretly he had known her. "You are old." He was sarcastic about her feeling old. But her age... he wasn't joking about she was a older woman and a older vampire she was aging. Slowly and surely she was aging he didn't move from his spot.

Pulling down a book from her left side she left it slammed. "The tales of Dracula and his bodily forms. Drake was the last wasn't he?" She placed her hand more then half way through the book and slammed it open. Her slender fingers ran over the cold yet smooth page. Sighing at the ink she was adding to it. "Century's of tales, facts, and stories all placed here. Of course most people didn't know that Drake may have been Dracula... I have been adding to it like my superiors and masters. Even though I have left them I took this. Nothing on any computer or urban legend can compare to this." Sighing she leaned back. What had brought her back to life. "I woke up in the sub levels... I do not know what caused me to come back. I need your friends help. Blade do this one favor and I will do anything for you. Even kill myself." She knew what that could do for him. It would make it easier for him. But what he wouldn't know was what she had planned.

The book had caught his eye, Blade didn't think people still kept so much track through legends and books like her anymore. "And why would I have you kill yourself? Don't you think I should do it. After all you vampires are all alike." His gaze was kept behind his sunglasses. And he didn't dare take them off.

"Are you sure you want to disappoint someone as old as me like that?" Ava wasn't knew at this game but how ever she hardly aged at all. "Just get your friends for me Blade... I feel something is going to come soon. So try to do it quickly." She knew he didn't like requests like these but as her servants were done gaining strength she knew she was on her own and they still would need a month to fully recover. "I must retire now I shall see you some day soon I hope." Ava got from her chair and stopped next to Blade. "Even after death I still remember everything." Smiling she headed off to her room. But she stopped on the steps.

"Keep those to yourself." That was all he said as he walked to the entrance hall after Ava. It wasn't him to share anything. Turning to the door Blade walked out without saying anything else.
